mtDNA Descendants of the Wife of John Doby (1750-1833) John Doby (John#5) was born in Albemarle Parish, Surry County, VA in 1750. He lived in Wake County, NC in the late 1700s and had several children. It's believed that his first wife was a Native American. We are looking for direct female descendants of John#5 and his first wife.

Y-DNA test from a direct male descendant of Isham Doby (abt 1808 - aft. 1880) We need someone with an all-male descendant line from Isham Doby to take a Y-DNA test on FamilySearchDNA.com, and then join the Doby DNA project on that site. This test will help determine who Isham's father was. Isham was born around 1808 in Rowan County, NC, and died after 1880 in Carter County, TN.
