  	Elton Lee Stewart, 83, of Presbyterian Home of Hawfields and formerly of 314 Spence St. died Saturday at his home. Stewart, a native of Columbia, S.C., was a former textile employee. He was a member of Front Street Christian Church, where he was an elder emeritus and a former member of the Christian Mens Fellowship. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Front Street Christian Church by the Reb. Preston Parsons and the Rev. Richard Rhea. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gladys Edmonds Stewart of the home; two sons, Frank Douglas Stewart of Burlington and James Herman Stewart of Gastonia; two sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Harris of Mebane and Mrs. Nellie Wilson of Burlington; two brothers, Wilton Stewart of Fayetteville and Gary Stewart of Graham; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Rich and Thompson Mortuary and at other times at 314 Spence St. Memorials may be made to Front Street Christian Church, 609 Atwater St., Burlington, N.C. 27215.
