  Obituary	Mrs. Alma Frances Marsh Venable, 84, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on December 12, 1937, to the late Brady and Tavie Hodges Marsh. Mrs. Venable was owner-Operator of Mayberry Motor Inn, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Alma was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. She is survived by a daughter, Vicki Venable Snow; grandchildren, Mikel Snow and girlfriend Theresa Flagg and her son, Paul Bailey, Joshua Snow and girlfriend Maggie Hawks, Jeremy and Savannah Snow; a great grandchild, Bram Snow; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Venable was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Parker “LP” Venable; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne Frank and Betty Marsh, Herman James and Carolyn Marsh. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alex Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:30 until 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
