Obituary	Herman B. Combs, 74, of Powhatan, widower Betty Combs, passed away March 11, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Combs; son, Lonnie Combs (Pam) of Powhatan; daughter, Nancy Bailey (Tony) of Richmond; two sisters, Shirley Bowman of Florida, Kay Combs; brother, Tommy Combs both of Powhatan; two grandchildren, Ashley, Curtis; two step children, seven step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Herman was a retired machinist from Philip Morris and was a former Fire Chief for Powhatan Co. 1 as well as instrumental in starting Huguenot Fire Dept. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Powhatan Community Cemetery.
