  Obituary	Dan Q. Jackson, 85, passed away Monday, Jan. 19, 1998. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at the Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Born in Kinston, Nov. 5, 1912, he was the son of the late Jacob and Ada Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a veteran of WWII and served in the U.S. Air Force. He went on to pioneer the development and manufacture of parts for the aerospace industry including the life saving "KC fitting" during the 1960's. Survivors include his wife, Gerry; son, Stephen A. Jackson of Greensboro; daughter, Kay Newman of Greensboro; Jean C. Keating of Climax; Diane E. Jackson of Atlanta; and Leah R. Jackson of Greensboro; grandchildren, Tom Keating, Shawn Newman; Matthew Jackson; Sarah Jackson; Christine Newman and Christophe Newman. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at the funeral home. Memorial contribution may be made to Hospice of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
