  Obituary	Michael Keith Doby, Sr., 63, passed away Wednesday December 7, 2016 at The Hospice Center of Burlington with his family by his side. He was born November 1, 1953 in Alamance County, NC. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday December 10, 2016 in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Swansboro with Rev. Michael Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow at Seaside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Michael owned and operated Doby nursery for many years on Hwy 58, when he wasn't working he loved to spend his time on the water. He is survived by daughter, April Doby of Randleman; son, Michael Keith Doby, Jr. of Mebane; four grandsons; two great-granddaughters; parents, Gurney and Mary Hill Doby of Mebane; sister, Sandy Doby of Mebane; step children, Teresa Batten of Swansboro, Gary and Jerry Rabon of Graham. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Carolyn Doby. Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home of Swansboro.
