A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Everette Tyson Hatch and Lexie Mae Doby Hatch, both deceased. Janie retired from the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department. She is survived by a son, Gary Roberson of Mebane; daughter, Lisa Grindall of Graham; six grandchildren, Kristy Smith, Lindsey Henderson, Jennifer Brooks, Haley Grindall, Mason Grindall, Grayson Roberson; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Hatch, Bobby Hatch, Jerry Hatch; and one sister, Linda Crawford. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Vicky McVey. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rich & Thompson Funeral Service in Graham.
