    William M. Edwards, 71, died Monday in Memorial Hospital in Alamance County. He was a native of Cabarrus County, a retired textile employee and a member of the Front Street Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington by the Reb. James Rosser. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eva Doby Edwards; one daughter, Mrs. Ellen Garrett of the home; two sons, Forrest Edwards and Donnie Edwards, both of Burlington; and seven grandchildren.
