    Mrs. Pearl Jane Griffin Doby, 89, of Route 2, Carthage died Saturday afternoon at the Adams-Kinton Nursing Home, Wilmington. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Rogers Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Harvey J. Bowman and the Rev. W. J. Neese. Burial will be in Rocky Fork Christian Church Cemetery. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Creola Doby Watkins of Carthage; three sons, George Doby of Sanford, James Doby of Kernersville and Floyd Doby of the home; two sisters, Eva Ingram of Rural Hall and Ola Griffin Moser of Copland; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
