    Obituary Myrtle Lemons Doby, 87 of Boone Rd. died on Friday, July 18, 2008 at Liberty Commons after a lengthy illness. She was born in Franklin County, VA to the late Charles William and Eula Mae Nolen Lemons and was married to the late Claude William Doby. She attended Burlington Assembly of God and enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family and occasionally starting large fires for the entertainment of her neighborhood. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Wilson of Burlington; son, Dan Doby of Burlington; grandchildren, Julian Doby, Stacy Wilson Miller and Beth Wilson and a great grandson, Dylan Gauge. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and numerous brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Liberty Commons and Hospice for taking care of their mother and the old gray goose. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the daughter's home, Deborah Wilson, 610 Lakeside Ave., Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to the Humane Society of Alamance County, P.O. Box 3673, Burlington, NC 27216.
