Harriet was born on March 9, 1941, in Iredell County, NC, to Sidney Guy Smith and Julia (Curtis) Smith. Garnet passed away on April 27, 2003, in Rowan County, NC, and was buried at Cleveland Believers Fellowship Cemetery in Woodleaf, Rowan County, NC. Harriet passed away on April 4, 2023, and was buried at Restoration Church Cemetery in Woodleaf.   	Garnet N. Doby, 64, 1630 Baker Hill Road, died Sunday (April 26, 2003) at his home. Born Aug. 17, 1938, in Yadkin County, Mr. Doby, a son of the late Walter and Ollie Parker Doby, was a Baptist. He formerly worked as a farmer and operator. Survivors include his wife Karlene Smith Doby; daughter Angela Doby Robinson, Cleveland; sons Garnet Allan and Bradley nelson Doby, both of Cleveland; brother J.D. Doby, Winston-Salem; sisters Christine Doby Cobb, Winston-Salem, Dorothy Doby Crowson, Marie Doby Elmore, Shirley Doby Chapman and Carolyn Doby Taylor, all of Statesville, and 13 grandchildren. Services: 3 p.m. Wednesday, Cleveland Believers Fellowship Church, conducted by the Rev. Joe Lavane, the Rev. Otis Johnson Jr., and the Rev. David Troyer. Burial, church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Visitation: 7-9 tonight at the church. At other times the family will be at the home on Baker Hill Road.
