  Obituary	Alice Mae Thompson Harrold, 84, of Mount Airy, N.C., died Saturday, December 3, 2005, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born February 27, 1921 in Surry County, N.C., and was a daughter of the late Lonnie Edgar and Minnie Doby Thompson. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny Edgar Thompson, Elwood Thompson and Willie Thompson. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed by Harrold's Lawn and Garden. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Otis Odell Harrold Jr. of the home; three daughters, Thelma Cassell of Newport News, Mary Frances Rakes of Meadows of Dan and Linda Leftwich of Hampton; two sons, Otis Odell Harrold III and Larry Harrold, both of Mount Airy; one sister, Hester Thompson Greenwood of Mount Airy; one brother, Bobby Plunkett of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at Moody Funeral Home chapel in Mount Airy with the Rev. Rawley "Dink" Haynes Jr. officiating. Entombment was in the Skyline Memory Garden Mausoleum.
