Gender Male Biography Jackson Doby was born about 1816 in Wake County, NC to Alsey and Mary "Polly" (Sneed) Doby. Sometime before the 1840 Census he married Martha Clemetine and had five known children.
On the 1840 and 1850 Census, he and his family were living in Davidson County, NC, but by the 1860 Census, they had relocated to Hazlewood, Webster County, Missouri where he was a blacksmith.
