  Biography	Emiline Doby was born about 1830 in Davidson County, NC, to Alsey Doby and Mary "Polly" (Sneed) Doby. Emiline had three children with no evidence of a husband: Manly Goldsberry Doby, Ann E Martitia Doby, and Columbus Doby. The marriage record for Manly and Columbus shows his father as Lewis S Surratt, so he was likely the father of all three. There is no record that Emiline and Lewis ever married. There are no records for her after the 1870 Census.
