  	William V. Doby, 49, of Rt. 2, Carthage, died Tuesday in a Southern Pines Hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Rocky Fork Christian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Pearl Griffin Doby of Rt. 2, Carthage; three brothers, George of Sanford, James of Kernersville and Floyd Doby of Carthage; and one sister, Mrs. Creola Watkins of Carthage.
