[9] Obituary Mr. William (Bill) Edgar Parker, 68, of 1255 Bradley Dr. died Monday, March 21, 1994. He was born April 11, 1925, in Forsyth County to S. Dillard and Katie White Parker. Mr. Parker was a charter member of Corner Stone Baptist Church where he had served as Deacon. He was a retired Clerk for the United States Postal Service. in Winston-Salem. Mr. Parker served his country in the Army during WWII. He is preceded in death by his father and his former wife, Mrs. Peggy Y. Parker. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Evon Lovett Park of the home; two sons, Phillip E. Parker and wife, Amy, of King, Jerry Wayne Parker and wife, Beth, of Winston-Salem; two step-sons, Keith and Gordon Lovett, both of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Rita F. Mosher and Faye P. Nance, both of Winston-Salem; four brothers, Jimmie R. Foltz of Advance, S.D. Parker of Yadkinville, Max A. Parker of Mocksville and Charles L. (Dink) Parker of Harmony; three grandsons, Shane, Justin, and Matthew Parker, all of King; one granddaughter, Lauren Parker of Winston-Salem; three step-grandaughters, Christie, Ashley and Harmony Lovett of Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be 2 pm Wednesday at Corner Stone Baptist Church by Rev. Charles Martin. Mr. Parker will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in New Mount Vernon United Methodist Church cemetery. Graveside rites will be given by the V.F.W. District 11 Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel and other times at 1255 Bradley Dr., and request that memorials be made to Conor Stone Baptist Church, Building Fund, 4507, Thomasville Road, Why 109, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
