    Obituary Donnie Franklin Edwards- Born September 2, 1937 passed away December 3, 2020 at the VA Medical Center in Durham, NC. Son of the late Bill and Eva Edwards and lovingly known as Papaw Edwards or Dandy Don, he is survived by his son Chris (wife, Chris) of Graham, NC. His loving life partner of 28 years, Sarah "Jody" McAdams of the home. Grandsons Blake Edwards (wife, Hannah), Brady Edwards, Ayden Edwards and Great Grandson, Hayes Edwards.
    Born and raised in Alamance County, Don did not know a stranger and had a love of life like no other. He shared a special bond with his son Chris and his true joy was the love he had for his Grandsons. He was always right by their side cheering them on and teaching them about life. You could always count on seeing Papaw at the ball field.
    He is preceded in death by his brother, Forrest Edwards and sister, Ellen Edwards.
    Due to Covid precautions, graveside only services will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM in Graham Memorial Park with arrangements being made by McClure Funeral Services in Graham. The family will be welcoming family and friends after the service at his home at 362 Cheeks Lane Graham, NC and then at a later time for a celebration of his life at the home of Chris and Chris Edwards at 1228 Celia Dr Graham, NC. The family asks that you please follow Covid guidelines and recommendations to help keep everyone safe while sharing in their time of grief.
