[7] Obituary William Monroe Parker, 58, of Rte 2, Swansea, died at his home Saturday after a short illness. He was born in Dobson, N.C., a son of the late Harbin H. and Doby Parker. He was a veteran of World War II and was retired service station owner and fuel oil dealer. He was a member of the Swansea United Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Emily Hutto Parker of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian White of Dobson, and Mrs. Ruby Inman of Mt. Airy, N.C; and two brothers, Dillard Parker of Mocksville, N.C., and Walter Parker of Dobson. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Swansea United Methodist Church, conducted by the Reb. Cyril Hamm and the Rev. Don Corley, with burial in Melrose Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Hoyt Hutto, Hoyett Parker, Roland Hicks, Jimmie Mead, High Smith, C.H. Livingston and G.S. Harvey.
